The third category of children consists of those who also feel overburdened from the outset, and cannot become interested in their fellows: the hated children. They have learned that there is a "fellow man". There are a great many such children: illegitimate, unwanted, orphans; and our culture has not created the necessary living conditions for them. Also, there are the ugly children, who soon learn that people are not well disposed towards them.

The question is: Where do we see this striving? She can only succeed in some way which is no longer useful and which is aimed at gaining her parents' continuous attention. The parents have their hands full with her. She is the problem child-the center of attention. Our question as to whether she is intelligent, has been answered. If there are any doubts, let us put ourselves in this child's place, for whom the road to the useful side has been blocked.

It is impossible to make a mistake without this mistake coming to light at a later date. It may now be recognized that a mistake may take its revenge in the bad formation of a life process, but it will be experienced nevertheless.
